PTE Academic mock test — frequently asked questions
PTE Academic covers four skills — Speaking (~30–43 min), Writing (37–43 min), Reading (32–41 min) and Listening (45–57 min) — delivered entirely on computer, including the Speaking section. There are 20 task types across roughly three hours of testing. The mock test follows this same official format for realistic practice conditions.
For Australia's 189 Skilled Independent visa you need 79 or above in each of the four skills to earn 20 immigration points; a score of 65–78 earns 10 points. An AI-scored mock test gives you a quick estimate of your current level in every skill.
